With all other columns deselected, the panel now shows "Select All" (replacing "Deselect all"). Only the "Surname" chip remains in the selection strip. The cursor continues hovering over "Photo" in the list, which remains highlighted blue.

The cursor clicks "Photo" in the checklist. "Photo" is now selected (highlighted blue) and its chip appears in the selection strip alongside "Surname". The other column items remain unselected.

The cursor moves to "User Principal Name" but does not select it — it remains unchecked. The cursor then skips down to "Display Name" and clicks it, adding Display Name as a selected column. The list now shows Photo ✓, Common Name ✓, Distinguished Name ✓, SAM Account Name ✓, User Principal Name (unchecked), Mail (unchecked), Display Name ✓, Given Name (not yet selected).

The cursor moves to "Given Name" and clicks it. Given Name is highlighted blue and checked. The selection strip now contains: Surname, Photo, Common Name (and more, scrolled off to the right).

With the desired columns selected — Surname, Photo, Common Name, Distinguished Name, SAM Account Name, Display Name, and Given Name — the cursor moves to the "Apply" button and clicks it. The Customize Columns panel closes.

The table reloads with a "loading..." spinner briefly visible in the center of the data panel. The updated column headers are now visible: Photo, Common Name, Distinguished Name, SAM Account Name, User Principal Name (still present from original config). The table is refreshing to reflect the new column selection.

The table finishes loading with the newly customized columns applied. The header row now shows: Photo, Common Name, Distinguished Name (partially visible), SAM Account Name, Display Name, Given Name, and Surname. The table is highlighted with a red outline to draw attention to the updated column set. User rows now show display names (e.g., "Lucas Bell", "Chloe Bennett", "Oliver Bennett", "Kevin Brooks", "Harper Brooks") alongside their given names and surnames in the new columns.
